Celebrating five years of Walktober!!! Walk, ride or run a different trail the first four Sundays in October. The month of October is ideal for exercising outside ~ the temperatures are cool and the colors are spectacular. Walktober makes the most of this great season by inviting participants on a tour of autumn’s most vibrant landscapes and inspiring everyone to make movement a priority!! Commemorative Walktober buttons, designed by artist Liz Vargas, for the first 200 participants at each location. Attend all four events and collect all four designs!
Missouri Town Living History Museum – More than just a walk, participants will be able to experience a small Missouri town on the eve of the Civil War. The walk will take you through the living history museum with more than 25 buildings dating from 1822-1860 spread across 30 picturesque acres. We will meet at the visitors center outside of Missouri Town. No pets allowed, we are not able to have any pets including dogs at the site (leashed or not) due to the livestock on the property.
Guided Tours 10:30 a.m. led by Missouri Town interpreter.
