8 – 11 a.m: Open to previously scheduled appointments, seniors, & physically disabled individuals. 11 a.m. – 5 p.m: Open to scheduled appointments and walk-ins as time permits. Schedule an appointment through Qless or by coming into the office.

Jackson County legislators were sworn in along with County Executive Frank White, Jr., during an installation ceremony Wednesday at the Midwest Genealogy Center in Independence.
Mary Jo Spino, Clerk of the Jackson County Legislature, administered the oath of office to the 10 elected officials beginning with the County Executive and followed in order by district:
Susan Wray, Acting Director and CEO of the Mid-Continent Public Library, began the ceremony as she welcomed elected officials and their guests. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard presented the colors as Madelyn Padget from Blue Springs South High School sang the National Anthem. Pastor Willie Murillo of Sheffield Family Life Center gave the invocation. The event closed with special remarks from Grandview Mayor Leonard Jones.
Music was provided before and after the ceremony by the Chalis O’Neal Trio. A reception followed with refreshments catered by Classic Catering.
