Military Appreciation Days

Jackson County Parks + Rec honors the men and women who are serving or have served our country in the Armed Services every Wednesday during the summer with complimentary admissions to its attractions including:

  • Missouri Town Living History Museum
  • Fort Osage National Historic Site
  • Longview Lake Beach (Memorial Day Week thru August 14)
  • Blue Springs Lake Beach (Memorial Day Week thru August 14)
  • Fred Arbanas Golf Course
    • Green Fees on the Par 3 Executive Course (all day)
    • $25 Green Fees on 18-hole Championship Course, including cart, between 10 am and 2 pm

Parks + Rec Director Michele Newman said, “Jackson County Parks + Rec is incredibly proud to have offered Military Appreciation Discount Wednesdays for the past ten years to those heroes who have served our country so selflessly.”

Since launching the program in 2013, hundreds of heroes have enjoyed complimentary access to Jackson County attractions through the Military Appreciation Days program. The program runs from Memorial Day Week through Veteran’s Day.

A valid Military ID Card, Veteran Identification Card, or other appropriate identification must be presented to receive the benefit.
