Public Hearings About Proposed Design Of
Rock Island Bicycle and Pedestrian Path!

Join engineers and consultants for the Rock Island Rail Corridor Bicycle Pedestrian Path to learn about and provide comments on the proposed design of the project.* 



TUESDAY / MAY 2

(From 50 Hwy East: Take 291 South, turn west on Scherer Rd. go north to Jefferson)


THURSDAY / MAY 4
@ Raytown Christian Church (Fellowship Hall)

(Located on west side of Blue Ridge Blvd., across from Raytown High School)


Both hearings will be held from 5:30–7 P.M.


Attendees can come and go at their leisure. No formal presentation will be given. Both public hearings will include identical information:

• Project Overview

• Environmental Analysis

• Trailhead Locations

• Preliminary Plans, including easement and right of way

* The Rock Island Corridor stretches 17.7 miles from Arrowhead and Kauffman Stadiums south through Raytown and into Lee's Summit. Part of the corridor will be transformed into a bicycle and pedestrian path with a focus on preserving the corridor's integrity as part of the national rail network.
