Jackson County Executive statement on Kansas City Regional COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jackson County Executive Frank White, Jr. has issued the following statement on the announcement of the Kansas City Regional COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund:
“The generosity of our civic and community leaders never ceases to amaze me. In times of desperate need, we come together and rally around those who need our support to make it through the toughest of times. I’d like to commend the co-leaders of this coalition – The Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, United Way of Greater Kansas City, LISC (Local Initiatives Support Corporation) and the Mid-America Regional Council – as well as the initial funders of this major response and recovery effort. I know Rep. Joe Runions is proud that we are heeding his call to action to ensure funding will be available to get the resources needed to wage this war. Together as one, we will overcome the challenges that lie ahead.
“Stay Strong. Stay Safe. Stay Home.”
