Jackson County COMBAT to Host Event in Vineyard NeighborhoodNeighborhood Event Will Include Free Gun Locks
Jackson County COMBAT is hosting a neighborhood event Thursday, Oct. 13 at 4502 Kensington Ave., Kansas City, MO 64130, in the Vineyard neighborhood.
What: COMBAT Prescription Drug Take Back and Neighborhood Cleanup
When: Thursday, Oct. 13, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

The Kansas City Police Department will be onsite at the event with displays featuring the Canine Section and Bomb and Arson Unit. A flyover by the Helicopter Unit is also planned.
Additionally, this COMBAT event will feature a Prescription Drug Take Back utilizing a drug incinerator operated by the Jackson County Sheriff. The “Drug Terminator” destroys drugs and narcotics with a clean, smoke-free burn. Residents can bring unused prescription or over-the-counter medicines to be destroyed.
Free gun locks will be available for residents. On-site demonstrations will be available upon request.
Dumpsters will be available for residents to drop off bulk items like small appliances, furniture, televisions, mattresses and more.
