KANSAS CITY, MO (Oct. 10, 2016) – Jackson County Executive Frank White, Jr., will present a check for $8,500 in charitable donations to Nicola Heskett, Executive Director of the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired (CCVI), at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 3101 Main Street, Kansas City, MO 64111.
The donation represents one-half of the player fees and proceeds from a live and silent auction held during the Frank White, Jr., Invitational Golf Tournament on Sept. 30. The tournament, which was held at the Fred Arbanas Golf Course, 1100 View High Drive, Kansas City, Mo., benefitted the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired as well as the Drumm Farm Center for Children.
“I’m pleased that we are able to support the important work done by the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired, which helps children in Jackson County to reach their highest potential,” White said.
Since opening its doors in 1952, CCVI has served more than 10,000 children who are blind or visually impaired and their families. For more information visit www.CCVI.org.
