Obtaining a Statement of Non-Assessment
To obtain a statement of non-assessment (tax waiver) you must bring the following documents to our offices:

- Please bring your Vehicle Titles, Vehicle Registrations or Renewals
- Or your Missouri Application for Title and Title (if a new purchase, the back of the title must be properly completed)
- Or proof of vehicle disposal, including proof of the date of sale/disposal (if trying to get a vehicle removed).
- Acceptable documents may include copy of document showing trade-in, including Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of vehicle sold or receipt from the business that received your vehicle (donated or sold for scrap), including full description.
- Please bring a copy of your Tax Receipt or a Tax Waiver from the county from which you're moving (past 2 years)
- And your Titles, Vehicle Registrations or Renewals
- Or your Missouri Application for Title and Title (if a new purchase, the back of the title must be properly completed)
- Please bring a copy of your Vehicle Registrations (previous 3 years covering January 1)
- And/or documents below can be any combination but must cover January 1 with an out-of-state address for the past 2 years
- Bank statements (P.O. Box addresses will not be accepted), and/or
- Utility Bill (indicating "service at" address), and/or
- Lease Agreement or Mortgage Payment Statement, and/or
- Credit Card statement (P.O. Box addresses will not be accepted)
- Please bring a copy of your Missouri Application for Title and Title (If a new purchase, the back of the title must be properly completed)
- Or your Titles, Vehicle Registrations or Renewals and your LES or DD214 Military Form
