Written Request Required
Autopsy report requests can be sent to the Medical Examiner's Officer via mail, e-mail or fax. Request email address: MEORecordsRequest@jacksongov.org
Please include the following in any request:
- Decedent’s full name
- Decedent’s date of death
- Decedent’s date of birth
- Your name and your relationship to the decedent
- State that you are requesting a copy of the autopsy report
- Include your return address and contact number
NOTE: If a case is pending litigation or is an open criminal investigation, the records are not available. In general, it takes a minimum of 6-8 weeks to complete an autopsy report. In certain cases, additional tests may need to be performed which will delay completion of the report for several additional weeks.
