The deadline to file an appeal with the Board of Equalization is the 3rd Monday in June per Missouri Statutes unless extended by the Board.
For a newly purchase property you must submit a late appeal request to the Board of Equalization in writing.

If no one appears on your behalf at the scheduled hearing, the Board will act at their discretion to determine a fair market value based on the evidence provided and including the County Assessor’s recommendation of value.
Hearings may begin July 1 and must end no later than the 4th Saturday in July per Missouri Statutes unless extended by the Board.
The County offers a Senior Citizen Quad Pay Program for real estate taxes. (current year only); for information call the Collections Department at 816-881-3232.
The special tax will appear on last year’s tax bill or contact the Collections Department at 816-881-3232.
