County Yard Waste Collection Center Opens

In Response To Tornado In Oak Grove, Jackson County To Provide Free Waste Disposal

At The Eastern Jackson County Yard Waste

The Eastern Jackson County Yard Waste Collection Center will be extending operating hours. Starting March 7, the Yard Waste Collection Center will be open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.. These extended hours will be available to all Jackson County residents until Sunday, March 19. The Yard Waste Collection Center will be free for all county residents with identification.

The Yard Waste Collection Center was not scheduled to open until the first weekend in April, but due to recent events, county and city associates from Blue Springs and Grain Valley have volunteered their time to help their neighbors.

Recycled limbs and leaves will be accepted in paper lawn and leave bagsItems not accepted aluminum can, glass, hazardous waste, metal, plastic bottles, tires or trash. For more information: jacksongov.org/YardWaste

 
All residents will be required to complete the Debris Load Ticket prior to using the facilities. Forms will be available onsite.

Operation Hours:

Monday – Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Saturday – Sunday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
